Our goal is simple: to help you feel radiant, deeply valued, and completely at home in your own skin. Whether you’re looking for a bold custom color transformation, seamless extensions, vibrant vivids, or a lived-in shag haircut, we tailor every detail to fit your lifestyle, personal aesthetic, and unique story. CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that things come up and appointments may need to be rescheduled. Please be advised, if you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, a 50% cancellation fee of the scheduled services will be charged to the card on file. If you cancel less than 24 hours notice, a 75% cancellation fee of the scheduled services will be charged to the card on file. No Call, No Shows will be charged 100% of the scheduled services. In the case of Emergencies, please reach out to Megan directly for exceptions.

Welcome! I’m Megan, the owner and master stylist behind Novel Roots. With a deep passion for custom hair color, all things extensions, and healthy hair, my goal has always been simple: to create a cozy, relaxing sanctuary where you can escape the noise, unwind, and feel completely yourself. Anchored by my faith and a heart for serving others, I believe every hair journey tells a story and I’m here to help write your next chapter, whether we're crafting your dream color or adding seamless volume and length. By day, I lead with purpose as a corporate supervisor at Highmark, and by night and weekend, you’ll find me living out my creative passion behind the chair! Outside of work, I love spending downtime at home with my partner and our 3 spoiled dogs, tending to my houseplants, or curling up with a captivating dark romance or fantasy book. Grab a cozy drink, your favorite book, settle in, and let’s make your hair dreams a reality!
Rae Maynes
With 7 years behind the chair, my passion is helping you feel beautiful, confident, and unapologetically yourself—inside and out! While I love a bit of everything in the salon, my heart truly lies in crafting custom color transformations, vibrant vivids, and lived-in layered or shag cuts tailored just for you. When I’m not bringing your hair dreams to life, you can usually find me cuddling with animals, dreaming up my next tattoo, exploring local coffee spots and good food, or getting lost in a great sci-fi or fantasy world. I can’t wait to sit you in my chair, talk all things pop culture or cozy reads, and create magic with your hair!

Hi! I’m Nicole, the Creative Director of First Impressions behind Novel Roots! I have a love for creativity, storytelling, and connecting with people. I love bringing the salon’s personality to life through thoughtful branding, creative content, and capturing all the little details that make Novel Roots so special. When I’m not behind the camera shooting a wedding or working in healthcare, you’ll find me helping bring the Novel Roots story to life!
